What does it mean when we say that Fatime Kosumi uses her music as ANDRRA to bring together the rustic soul and the untouched industrial machine? Firstly, it means that her debut EP »Palinë«, created together with producer PC Nackt, draws equally from Albanian folklore and international electronica, from John Cage here and wave music there. And above all, it means that this native Bavarian with Kosovan roots makes songs that open a wide, gaping wound. Like the film »Kangë e Defa«, which Kosumi co-produced with director Vincent Moon, her music intervenes between tradition and innovation, both exposing legacies and illuminating new paths. It feels at once familiar and exhausting, foreign and intimate. So all of this is what it means, and all of this is presented live with Christoph Mäcki Hamann on synthesizer and Jörg Wähner on drums.
