Boy Harsher has been baptized by the holy water of the wave world, that is, by the sweat of D.A.F. and the flood of releases that have poured out of Veronika Vasicka’s minimal-wave imprint. The Massachusetts duo now take it upon themselves to propel the future of the genre; accordingly, they operate between the traditional and the unknown, between spherical esotericism and the charm of the warehouse. After releases on Soft Science, Oráculo, and Ascetic House and an LP first put out by DKA and re-released by the German wave institution aufnahme + wiedergabe that turned every head in the underground, Augustus Muller and Jae Matthews founded their own label, Nude Club, in early 2018. They’re currently working on their sophomore album, and it’s guaranteed to make waves—Boy Harsher are 100% in their element.
