Some stories are written by life itself. Itaca’s story is self-crafted, and their music sounds all the prettier for it. Ossi Viola and Lo Selbo met in a church in Rome, where Ossi was studying at the time and where Lo was a regular visitor. The first encounter turned into Amore, Amore turned into Itaca, and Itaca turned into a band that has found its home in the Berlin of today, somewhere between »Voglio vederti danzare« and »Dirty Talk«. The album »Itaca Mi Manchi« and its accompanying single »Mi Manchi« were instant hits in exactly that territory. At Pop-Kultur, though, the duo will take it back to the early 80s, to the northern sector of their hearts’ homeland. The »Spacer Woman« meets »Mister Game« for a little »Automaticamore« in a »Hypnotic Tango« on the dance floor—in other words, Italo Disco, per tutta la notte.
