When we first descended the many steps from the courtyard to the vaulted cellar of the Kulturbrauerei together with the American techno producer Karen Gwyer, who had recently moved to Berlin and just received a scholarship from the Musicboard, we realised this wouldn’t, couldn’t, be a ›normal‹ concert.  The spatial and acoustic characteristics of the room, which was used a century ago to store beer kegs, are simply too unique. »I immediately saw it like a grand apartment, complete with a main hall and airy side rooms, and a giant living room beckoning at the end. The fact that there were no doors got my thoughts racing; each room held the possibility of hosting its own performance...«, she wrote to us after the meeting. »I can’t stand closed doors, and I purposefully keep my music studio at home, right in the midst of the books, chairs, pottery, plants, toys, and all of our much-loved stuff. With ›Partager‹, I want to invite the audience into a private creative space, evocative of my own living and working space.«

Due to a limited capacity of 100, this event requires a special (free) ticket for all day pass and festival pass holders. The ticket will be available at the Pop-Kultur info stand in the courtyard of the Kulturbrauerei.
