...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead are something like the Oasis of good music: it's always wisest to observe them from afar. It's been two decades since Conrad Keely and Jason Reece attracted attention with the self-titled debut of their band, and since then a lot has happened, and a lot has broken, in their wake. In 2018, the most megalomaniacal indie band on this side of the nineties have by no means been reformed, but they at least only release their energy in the studio or on stage—not in hotel rooms anymore. In 2014, the album »IX« came out. The next one is already in the works, and meanwhile—with a year's delay, in keeping with their style— the 15th anniversary of the breakthrough album »Source Tags & Codes« was celebrated with a short summer tour. What is expected of the band’s future probably only its members know... that is, if anyone knows at all.
